How to Get Started with Murder

If you want a murder mystery, you need a murderer. And if you want a good mystery, you need a bunch of interesting suspects. You decide how salacious you want the skeletons in your suspects' proverbial closets to be. 

There are two tiers to choose from:

• Cozy - think knitting clubs with petty grievances and light drama; there will probably be tea and scones; perhaps the tastiest tier
• Hard-boiled - hello Raymond Chandler, we're getting a bit grungy here; enter some potentially disturbing storylines

Once you've chosen a tier, you will be given the opportunity to say nay to storylines that are inappropriate for your party.

We will create a game based on your players, but also your desired engagement. 

• Player - you're just another player who happens to be setting this up; I will send character info directly to your players
• Player-facilitator - you're another player who also ensures everyone has their character sheets etc.; you may have access  to sensitive information
• Facilitator - you know all and may be what's considered a "non-player character"

You will receive a questionnaire that helps me to get to know you and your party for a custom mystery that everyone will enjoy playing.  After we complete the questionnaire, you will receive initial storyline details. Once you confirm your delight in the concept, your game shall be created, and we will determine the best way to distribute materials to your players.  

You decide how much preamble you want your players to have. Should we send them tasty teasers once a week leading up to the game? Should they get all the materials the day of? Either way, the game is afoot, and you decide when to engage.
